About Tracey Frugoli | Photographer & Fine Artist
Growing up in a creative household, oil painter and photographer, Tracey Frugoli always knew she would be an artist. She enjoyed unusually intensive art training in her suburban high school and went on to earn a BFA in fine art, and a MA in Art Therapy. After painting in the Impressionist style for 13 years she began to explore portrait photography. Inspired by light and beauty, her photography affects her painting, and vice verse, in wonderfully unexpected ways.
While she enjoys working on personal projects, Tracey loves connecting one on one with her portrait clients to give them the beautiful, expressive images that capture the essence of who they are. At her Peoria, IL studio, she specializes in custom, styled sessions such as fashion inspired high school senior portraits, capturing the beauty in the everyday woman, creative dance & head shots, and even newborn babies. Recently, she has begun to explore fashion photography bringing her artistic passion full circle. Her photographic work has been published in Jute Fashion Magazine, Intersection: Art & Life, Ellements Magazine, Flawless Magazine Online, Art & Society, Fashion Ignite Peoria 2014-15 Lookbook, and The Retriever Journal.
Tracey has won numerous art awards and her artwork hangs in the permanent collection at the Academy Art Museum in Easton, the Peoria Riverfront Museum, and in many private collections. It has appeared in American Artist and Plein Air Magazine. She has written freelance for Workshop Magazine, Plein Air, and Fine Art Connoisseur (FAC).
